We know exactly what it’s like to prepare for a beach vacation — because we’ve been there ourselves. At Crystal Coast Beachside Grills & Gear, our mission was born from years of traveling to Emerald Isle with our family and experiencing firsthand how stressful packing for a beach trip can be.
For eight years while living near Chicago, my wife Tracey and I made it a tradition to vacation on the Crystal Coast every year. It was a special time to reconnect with friends, gather with family, and enjoy the beauty of the North Carolina coast. But getting there was never easy. Our car would be packed with beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, toys, towels, bags, and everything else needed for a week at the beach — along with our two kids and our dog — for a long 17-hour drive.
Each year it seemed like we needed more gear, and space quickly disappeared. We eventually had to install rooftop carriers and luggage racks just to fit everything. Flying wasn’t a practical option either, since the cost of buying beach equipment, grills, and vacation essentials after arrival was simply too expensive.
As someone who loves cooking for family and friends, I always wished I could bring my smoker or have a reliable grill waiting at our rental home. Unfortunately, many vacation houses either didn’t have grills or had equipment that wasn’t clean or safe to use.
After moving back to North Carolina, I saw an opportunity to solve this problem for other families visiting the Crystal Coast. That’s why we created Crystal Coast Beachside Grills & Gear — to provide convenient, high-quality rental equipment delivered directly to your vacation home. Today, visitors can rent grills, beach gear, pet equipment, and vacation essentials without the hassle of overpacking or hauling bulky items.
Our goal is simple: help families enjoy a stress-free beach vacation so they can focus on making memories instead of worrying about logistics.
